“A gray heron once told me that all gray herons are liars. Is that a lie, or is it the truth?”

Outdoor cinema returns to Birmingham Botanical Gardens this August, and we’re welcoming all manner of birds for our Saturday night screening of The Boy and The Heron.

Before the movie, get settled in for a captivating, one-hour performance of Studio Ghibli classic soundtracks, beautifully played by the Sekine Quartet on the Gardens’ bandstand.

Doors open at 7.00pm, where you can join us on the main lawn for a selection of cocktails, mocktails, Botanical Gardens gin and delicious street food from Digbeth Dining Club.

Please remember, this is an outdoor event, so don’t forget to bring along your chairs and blankets for a cosy movie-watching experience.
